For more than two decades, Fanchon Glover has been building and supporting a fully inclusive campus community. In her role as senior advisor to the president, she advances her self-ascribed calling of educating people and helping them understand how we are more alike than we are different. She has always had a passion for creating opportunities for those who are marginalized and works tirelessly to cultivate a culture of belonging. Fanchon began her career at the university in 1996 as the assistant director of multicultural affairs. In 1999, she was promoted to director of multicultural affairs, and in 2004, she became the director of multicultural affairs and assistant to the president. Four years later, she served as the interim assistant vice president for student affairs.
Since 2010, she has been responsible for university-wide diversity and inclusion work, including overseeing the implementation of the Inclusive Excellence Framework within the university’s strategic plan, Vision 2026. In 2025 she became senior advisor to the president and coordinates and leads campus initiatives, education and research, community outreach, reporting and communication. In addition, she has served as an adjunct professor at the school of education. Fanchon has made it her mission to help ensure ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is a place of belonging, respect and inclusivity where all members of the community can thrive and flourish, in and out of the classroom.
